After reading that Adam Sandler is going pink (portraying a fireman who pretends to be married to a man in order to become eligible for domestic partnership benefits), it's clear Hollywood is serious about exploiting the "Brokeback Mountain" phenomenon. Even Brad Pitt is reportedly aching to play gay, sensing an opportunity to be taken seriously as an actor.
Pause for laughter.
So if straights are seeking gay roles, could the next trend involve queer actors playing heteros? Might we see Nathan Lane and Sean Hayes in a remake of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid?"
How 'bout Rosie O'Donnell as an ingenue?
