Your Sunday morning sermon

"It takes a real man to confess Jesus as lord and savior. I'm not talking about no faggot or no sissy. Wait a minute! Let all the real men come on down here and take a bow. All the real men -- I'm talking about the straight men ...

"You ain't funny, and you ain't cranky, but you're straight. Come on down here and walk around and praise God that you are straight. Thank him that you're straight. All the straight men that's proud to be a Christian, that's proud to be a man of God ..."

Compliments of prominent D.C. pastor, Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr.

  1. Somewhere in the Bible, it says:
"Judge not, lest ye be judged," which is the overriding motto by which I try to live my life. You'd think people like this "reverend" could put all their energy to some better use than name-calling and presuming to know what God thinks, wouldn't you? Hypocrisy is the deadliest sin, in MY book. People like this guy will get their come-uppance, eventually.

  2. I have left comments like this one before.
The saddest part is that he has a following that hangs on his every word and will teach their kids to think like this.
Children are not born knowing hatred, it's learned.
