Well they did each wear fedoras

I have two sisters, neither of whom are, shall we say, very aware of the world around them. A sample of a conversation I had with one today:

"So have you seen that movie about that famous gangster?"

Me: "What movie is that?"

"Capote (which she pronounced, Ka-POTE, as in boat)"

Me: "You're thinking about Al Capone. That movie's about Truman Capote, the writer."

"Who's that?"

Me: "You've never heard of Truman Capote?"

"Are you sure he's not the gangster?"

Me: "Quite sure."
