Strokin'

Trying to understand Pat Robertson's god is tricky. I'm unfamiliar with this deity, the one, who, according to Robertson, caused the stroke that's left Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon fighting for his life. The same god who apparently thinks its okay to do business with West African butcher Charles Taylor.

According to the Associated Press, the televangelist told viewers of "The 700 Club" that Sharon was "dividing God's land," even though the Bible says doing so invites "God's enmity."

Robertson added, "I would say woe to any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course," noting that former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated.

Robertson said God's message is, "This land belongs to me. You'd better leave it alone."

Unless there's diamonds to be mined. Washington Post religion reporter Alan Cooperman revealed in an article two years ago that Robertson --- who blamed the Liberian bloodbath on State Department opposition to Taylor --- had an $8 million agreement with the Baptist president to mine gold in his country. Operation Freedom Gold, he called it.

And I'm not sure how Robertson reconciles his position with The Beatitudes: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."

Sharon tried to be a peacemaker, but Robertson's god apparently prefers conflict, unlike that damn hippie Jesus Christ.

I have been following a site now for almost 2 years and I have found it to be both reliable and profitable. They post daily and their stock trades have been beating
    the indexes easily.

    Take a look at Wallstreetwinnersonline.com
