Heaven help me. I love a psychotic!

If only Eve Harrington had thought of a stunt like this, she wouldn't have had to sleep with creepy theater critic Addison DeWitt --

A Texas teenager angling for the lead role in a school play is facing charges that she spiked a competing actress's drink with Clorox. Katherine Smith, 18, was arrested this week and hit with a felony rap for tampering with a consumer product (in this case a bottle of Mountain Dew she gave to a 15-year-old rival). According to a Tarrant County arrest warrant, a copy of which you'll find below, Smith was the understudy of the teen victim in a play called "Ha."

  1. WHAT are they putting in the water down there? Remember that incident several years back where the mother of a teenage girl in TX hired a hit man to knock off her daughter's cheerleading rival?

    Don't mess with Texas!

  2. I think sleeping your way to the top is the time-honored method.

  3. Well-remembered, Norma, and if you've never seen the HBO movie about it, starring Holly Hunter: The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleading Mom, or something to that extent, you're missing out. H.H. is brilliant as usual, and a great supporting turn from the always welcome Swoosie Kurtz.

  4. Remember when Swoosie Kurts was on that short-lived sitcom, "Love, Sidney," starring Tony Randall? I remember watching it on Friday nights when I was a youngster.
