Hooray for everything!

The Malcontent is in negotiations with Sheldon to provide a recurring forum for his pop culture cheerleading. I'd love to share his sunny world view, but then I'd have to like Robin Williams, so you can see the complications.

Here's Sheldon's latest retort (truly, I can't make this shit up):

Sheldon is flattered that other people want my views. I don't know what to say about the Pussy Cat Dolls. I say "Go Girls!!" and keep selling records. But I don't think little girls should be imitating them. Children are the future, I say.:) Mr. T rules!! I pity the fool that don't watch T and see RV!

So Shel, one question: Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of Up with People?

    Aren't Up With People those way too happy dancers that show up in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade every year?

    Flags, bright shirts, perma-smiles even when it's windy and 20 degrees out?

    I always wondered about them.........

    No, no. Not poking fun. Just amused.
    I was always a "glass is half empty" kind of girl myself.
    I applaud your ability to find the good in horrible movies and dorky dancers, because to me they are just horrible movies and dorky dancers!
